BOSTON, 21 of April.- A Motivational Venezuelan racer with muscular dystrophy It was the last competitor to cross the finish of Boston Marathon, some 20 hours after starting the test.
Maickel Melamed He crossed the line around 5:00 am Tuesday, after running under a heavy downpour and thunderstorms in the final kilometers.
Melamed, from 39 years, It has a form of muscular dystrophy that severely affects their movements.
The Caracas was joined on the road by volunteers, and They were waiting at the finish dozens of friends and fans.
Melamed has partiipado marathons in Chicago, New York, Berlin and Tokyo, but he said the Boston is special because it is the city where his parents brought the child to receive medical treatment for his condition.
