This Perspective Painting will blow your mind away.
Here’s one that particularly is unique in its own word and visually imposible.
Sometimes you see a piece of art that completely blows your mind. It’s a feeling that can leave you breathless.
Patrick Hughes and his painting “reverspective” is almost mind boggling. The first time you see it you really don’t think much of it. Then it has the effect on almost everyone who sees it. It’s an amazing creation that changes as you walk past it. It seems simple enough, but when you think of the work that had to go into creating something so incredible, it’s an experience unlike any other. If you move your head slightly or to another angle.
Hughes’ 3D surface
[...] accentuates the depth of the image and accelerates the shifting perspective far more than the brain normally allows. This provides a powerful and often disorienting impression of depth and movement. [...] The illusion is made possible by painting the view in reverse to the relief of the surface, that is, the bits that stick furthest out from the painting are painted with the most distant part of the scene," [1] explains the artist. How does someone even learn to do that? Kudos to this artist for making people around the world lose their minds! I have never seem anything like this.
Some scientists like Michael Wagner Professor of Psychology, Department of Psychiatry at the University of Bonn are now studying this mind crazy thing they call it in their own words
Human vision; Depth perception; Vergence control; Real versus illusory depth
The Vergence in reverspective study as they call it is studyign eye movement and how the brain perceives it …this is too deep for us so if interested get a Phd on the subject and explain all to us in simple words.
Wow Going to the Art Museum was definitely an eye opener for us.
