They went to talk about their favorite teacher in school but they didn’t know this was going to happen.

These students thought they were just being interviewed about their favorite teachers — but it would soon become so much more.

Each ex-student comes from a different background. And they have different things to thank their teachers for.

Unaware that their teachers will be listening, they open up about how they felt about their teacher.

One man speaks of how he felt lost without his teacher, while another speaks of his experience of being bullied.

They speak of how their teachers encouraged them to be themselves and to prove others wrong.

‘She was so good at what she did, she instilled that confidence in me.’

You then watch as teachers arrive in taxis to the studio where the ‘interviews’ are being filmed.

As each person finishes by wanting to tell their teacher ‘thank you’, their teacher arrives in front of them.

Shocked, with their eyes welling up, they reach out for each other and embrace.

It’s a truly heartwarming moment as one teacher says: ‘Thank you, Victor. You have no idea how I needed to hear those words.’
