You’ve heard of don’t text and drive now hear this don’t text and walk.

This girl in china got the scare of her life after she was walking down the street apparently texting away and not even looking where she was going.

She was left stuck in a drain after this painful texting incident.

The girl was thought to be a teenager and had been walking down the street in Mianyang City, in south-west China’s Sichuan Province.

The young woman stepped on a drain and her thin legs went straight through the grill, leaving her foot wedged tight and her unable to move or free herself.

Thankfully, kind passers-by came to her aid and tried to pull her out of the drain – but, alas, their attempts were fruitless.

After realising she was completely stuck, the passers-by called the fire brigade who arrived and freed her after a 45 minute ordeal.

Fire brigade spokesman Ming Lai said: “We managed to remove the bars and quickly freed her once we arrived at the scene.

“Her leg was a bit scratched and bruised and numb from being squeezed through the bars, but she quickly recovered and did not need hospital treatment.”

Eyewitness Jun Niu – who posted snaps of her ordeal – said: “She was more embarrassed than anything else, she had covered her face up with her hands when people were gathered around and it’s clear she didn’t want to be there.

“She was incredibly thin though, I reckon normally nobody would be able to lose a foot down there but the bars were a bit bent so I guess that was why it happened.”

Let this be a lesson to all those teens texting and walking – it could be you stuck in a drain next.
